Details on Impact assessments
What criteria were used to assess the impact?
- In the first step of the impact assessment, the costs and implementation duration of the individual measures were estimated and rated as advantageous/suitable, partially advantageous/suitable and disadvantageous/unsuitable in relation to the project duration and budget. If necessary, overly large/complex measures were divided into feasible sub-measures.
 - The measures were then ranked according to their expected potential for greenhouse gas savings.
 - After taking into account the prioritization of the participants of the university climate councils
 - and other optional criteria - e.g. visibility, maintenance costs, additional benefits and status of implementation (of similar measures) at the university -
 - ideally one top measure per topic area was determined based on the final evaluations/reasons. If necessary, several small or cross-thematic measures were combined for this purpose.

Following feedback from the scientific project advisory board and consultation with the university heads, two of these top measures were then selected for the two transfer laboratories per university. In total, there are therefore 10 measures for 5 universities in the KlimaPlanReal project network.
Details on the evaluation and selection process can be found in the respective sections and tables for the universities (in German only).
After the selection of measures, relevant university structures, such as the administration and faculties, are involved and a so-called transformation team is formed for each transfer laboratory. Further information can be found on the pages of the 1st Transfer Laboratories and 2nd Transfer Laboratories.
Note: No university climate council took place at Magdeburg Stendal University of Applied Sciences as there was already a comprehensive climate protection concept in place. The measures for the Transfer Laboratories are therefore based on the university's climate protection concept and the assessment by the climate advisory board instead of a climate plan.
What happens to the measures that are not pursued in a Transfer Laboratory?
Some of the other measures that are not included in the Transfer Laboratories are recommended to the responsible departments and, where possible, incorporated into other processes at the respective university.
The exact form this takes will soon be explained in the respective sections for the universities (in German only).
