 Results of the 1st transfer laboratory

The first transfer team at Harz University of Applied Sciences has developed a preliminary prototype for a bicycle rental station. Concrete framework conditions are being further developed by student projects.

 

More information on the covered measure

• The aim of this measure is to make commuting between the train station and the university easier. In order to design the measure optimally, various bicycle rental providers (and their prices) must first be researched in detail and the mobility behavior of employees and students must be recorded. A survey on usage behavior should ensure that return/parking stations for the bikes are set up at suitable locations. The rental service could possibly be expanded to include e-scooters. The measure is to be implemented within one year. It can tie in with the existing mobility survey, which is carried out every two years.
